Refund policy

This policy forms part of the terms of use and applies to every Cwupid subscription charge.

The rule

Within 14 days of a charge, if you have not used any of the actions that charge granted, we refund it in full. Ask at [email protected] from the email address on the account and name the charge. We do not require a reason.

How we check it

Every action granted to your account and every action you spend is recorded in an itemised ledger, which you can see on your account page. We check whether the balance granted by that specific charge is still intact. This is a matter of record, not judgement — if you have not spent them, the refund is due.

What happens to your actions

A refunded charge takes back the actions it granted. If they are still unused, your balance simply returns to what it was before that charge. A refund does not cancel your subscription on its own; cancel from the billing portal on your account page if you also want to stop future charges.

Cancelling instead

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on your account page. Cancelling stops all future charges, keeps every action already granted to you, and leaves your access running until the end of the month you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.

Outside the 14 days, or if you have used the actions

We are not obliged to refund, but we would still rather hear from you than not. Write to [email protected] and we will look at it. We refund as a matter of course when the charge was a genuine mistake, when it was duplicated, when the service did not work for you, or when you were charged after cancelling.

When the scorer fails

This policy is about charges. Individual failed actions are handled automatically and separately: if a paid action fails and returns no usable result, the action is credited straight back to your balance. You do not need to ask, and it does not count against anything here.

How long it takes

We aim to reply to a refund request within two business days. An approved refund is issued through Stripe to the original payment method, and how quickly it appears is set by your bank or card issuer — typically five to ten business days.

Your legal rights

Consumer law in your country may give you rights beyond this policy, including statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights. Nothing here limits those rights, and where they conflict with this policy, they take precedence. If you believe a charge was unauthorised, contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a card dispute.

Changes

An updated policy is posted here with a revised effective date. The policy that applies to a charge is the one published on the day the charge was made.
